M4 is an EP recorded by Canadian Indie Rock band Faunts in 2007. The EP was largely unknown until M4, Pt. II was played over the credits of the 2007 video game Mass Effect.
A music video was made for M4 part II. It was directed by Ryan Bosworth and came with a limited amount of hard-copy M4 EPs. It apparently was the first theatrically styled music video the band filmed. It features the band playing the song in intervals, and for the most part a representation of the song through a personified hierarchy of crabs where a single crab wishes to dominate the space of everyone's sand dune. In the end the crab becomes the only one left, and reflecting on the songs lyrics, ends up being devoured by a bigger predator than itself; seagulls.
